  • Leelee Jackson

    FOUNDER

    Leelee Jackson (she/her) is a playwright whose work aligns itself with the lives of Black queer and straight womxn. Jackson is passionate about community engagement and has produced her plays with teams ranging from 4 to 21 people of color who lead, star in and develop theatre all over the west coast. In 2017, her play Comb Your Hair (Or You'll Look Like a Slave) was honored and performed at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival national competition as a finalist. In 2019, her full length minstrel piece The Shit Show: An American Allegory was a national finalist at the Austin Film Festival. Jackson is from the Bay Area and currently resides in Southern California where she obtained her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing & Writing for the Performing Arts/Playwriting in 2019.

  • Angelica Rowell

    SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIST

    Angelica Rowell (she/her) is a singer, actress, writer, and plus size model based in Los Angeles, California. She holds degrees in both Classical Voice and Theatre from the University of California, Irvine. She is passionate about social activism through the arts and strives to create works that open doors for the marginalized, as well as initiate a dialogue about controversial topics.

  • Eriel Milan Brown

    SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGIST

    Eriel Milan Brown (she/her) is an actor, singer, and dancer/choreographer based in New York City. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of California, Irvine in 2019. She is passionate about expanding proper representation for Black artists in the theatre world, and creating opportunities for Black voices to be heard.

  • Alicia Mosley

    Alicia Mosley (she/her) is a poet and fiction writer, a mother of four, and a community educator. She earned her MEd in Curriculum Development and MFA in Creative Writing from the University of California, Riverside. Her work has appeared in Los Angeles Review of Books and Sun Magazine. Alicia is currently working on her first novel. Much of her work explores the magical labor of mothering while black and mothering Black children.

  • Ebony Madry

    Ebony Madry (she/her) currently works for Brite Ideas CTS as a project manager overseeing the installation of audio, video, and lighting for corporate events and high-end private events. Ebony Madry is a graduate from the University of California, Irvine with an MFA in Lighting Design. Ebony also received an BFA in Design from Texas Tech University. Additionally, Ebony worked as an electrics assistant for The Arkansas Repertory Theater for their 2013-2014 season. Ebony began working in the theater as early as high school, after falling in love with Broadway Tours like The Wiz, The Color Purple, and The Lion King. Most importantly, Ebony Madry understands that representation of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) is invaluable. Therefore, she likes to dedicate her energy and work as often as she can to collaborate with artists, designers, and productions that feature and uplift those populations. In addition to her work on diverse shows, Ebony actively mentors other female BIPOC students and has served on the diversity panel for the Queer People of Color Festival at UC, Irvine. Most notably, Ebony Madry has worked with several notable artists including Christian Vincent, Leslie Ishii, Paul Barnes, Michael Franti, Brandi Carlisle, and Melissa Etheridge.
