Briana Carter, President

Briana Carter, is a queer entrepreneur who is dedicated to creating businesses that allow minorities to live the lives they were destined for. She first fell in love with performance art while studying at Howard University. Her experience studying the diaspora propels her to create space for minorities to live their full selves in abundance. She currently lives in London, England.

Dr. Jaye Austin Williams, Board Member

Jaye Austin Williams, M.F.A., Ph.D. is a performance studies specialist in Africana Studies at Bucknell University. Prior to entering academia, she spent nearly 30 years in the professional theatre as an acclaimed director, playwright, actor. She is currently at work on a monograph entitled Staging (Within) Violence: Slavery, the “Post-“ Colony and Black Modernity

Dr. Wind Dell Woods, Board Member

Dr. Wind Dell Woods (MFA / PhD) is a playwright, scholar, and educator. His research interests are in the fields of Hip Hop Theatre, Hip Hop aesthetics, narratology, psychoanalysis, blackness and performance, as well as the themes of death and rebirth, identity, gender, and slang. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of Theatre Arts at the University of Puget Sound where he teaches courses in playwriting, dramaturgy, world theatre, acting, and Hip Hop philosophy. He also has the honor of serving on the Advisory Board for Black Light Arts Collective.
